Hon Dr Hafiz Bin Salih, Upper East Regional Minister and former Upper West Regional Minister, joined the Bawku Municipal Chief Imam and the Muslim community for Friday prayers at the Central Mosque.
The gathering featured recitations from the Quran and special prayers for peace in Ghana and its leaders. Particular emphasis was placed on prayers for Vice President Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Presidential Candidate for the New Patriotic Party, seeking divine guidance and victory in the upcoming election.
Additionally, Hon Dr Hafiz Bin Salih presented 2000 bags of cement to the Municipal Chief Imam and Muslim leaders on behalf of Vice President Bawumia.
The gesture was met with gratitude and well-wishes for Bawumia’s success in the election.
The prayers also focused on restoring peace to Bawku, having faced challenges in recent times.
The Minister used his official Facebook to update his followers:
” I joined the Bawku Municipal Chief Imam and the Ummah in Bawku for the Friday prayers at the central Mosque on Friday, 11th October 2024. The Quran was recited and prayers offered for peace in the country and the leaders of the nation. Special prayers were offered for the Vice President of Ghana, H.E. Alhaji Dr Mahamudu. Prayers were made to enable him to be victorious in the upcoming Presidential election. Prayers were made for peace to return to Bawku. On behalf of Vice President Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Presidential Candidate for the New Patriotic Party, I presented 2000 bags of cement to the Municipal Chief Imam, and some Muslim leaders in Bawku. They expressed appreciation to Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and wish him success in the upcoming election”.
