In its continued commitment to giving back to society, MTN Ghana brought festive cheer to mothers and their newborns in the Upper West Region by presenting Christmas hampers to babies born on December 25th and 26th, 2025. This annual gesture has become a hallmark of MTN’s corporate social responsibility, reinforcing its dedication to supporting communities across the country during the holiday season.

A total of 30 hampers were distributed across two major health facilities in the region. 10 hampers went to the Upper West Regional Hospital in Wa, which included a special set of twins, while 20 hampers were given at Nadowli Hospital. Each package contained essential baby items such as diapers, baby powder, creams, soaps, Dettol, toys, and cot sheets, ensuring that both mothers and their newborns received meaningful support at the start of their festive season.
The initiative has consistently brought smiles to families, providing practical assistance and easing the challenges that new mothers face during the busy holiday period. By reaching multiple hospitals in the Upper West Region, the program not only touches individual families but also reinforces the importance of community care and health support in the region.

Over the years, MTN Ghana has maintained this tradition, making the festive season a time of joy and support for mothers and their babies nationwide. The continuity of this program reflects MTN’s broader commitment to corporate citizenship and its sustained effort to create positive social impact beyond its core business operations.
The 2025 distribution, led by Mr. Bonseu Richard, demonstrated the tangible benefits of the initiative, as families welcomed the packages with gratitude and excitement. By consistently reaching out to mothers and newborns, MTN Ghana continues to highlight the importance of compassion, community, and care during the Yuletide season, strengthening its presence as a socially responsible corporate citizen.
